Educational Programs:
Special Education Teacher (MLL): Prepare and present educational content, support and guide students to achieve learning goals, and provide individualized instruction in small student groups. R.I. Teaching Certification in Special Education or MLL is required. Full time, school year position with the potential to earn extra income.
Facilities:
Facilities Worker: Play a key role in providing a safe, clean and supportive environment for our students and staff. This position will complete a variety of custodial duties and light maintenance to ensure all campus buildings, grounds and recreational structures are well-maintained and safe. Troubleshoot maintenance service requests. Perform general repairs such as drywall, painting, doors, locks, and building fixtures that do not require a specialized technician. Perform routine and preventative maintenance or building systems and equipment. Perform snow removal using snow blower, shoveling, sanding and salting of walkways and steps. This is a full-time position working 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday. This position will also participate in an on-call rotation with other members of the Facilities Dept.
Food Service:
Cook: Play an essential role in providing a safe, healing environment for youth by preparing and serving nutritious, well-balanced meals and ensuring the kitchen and cafeteria are safe and clean for students and staff. This is a 32 hour/week position with competitive pay and full benefits including health/dental insurance and a generous time off plan. Initial work schedule is 7am-1:30pm, Tues-Sat. Occasional availability for dinner service (until 6:30pm) required for vacation coverage.
Residential Youth Care:
Our Residential Youth Care team is comprised of caring, dedicated direct care professionals who provide a safe, nurturing environment and support youth attending our 24/7 residential program to achieve their education, treatment and personal development goals. Our campus is comprised of 7 dormitory units and multiple outdoor recreational spaces available to our youth residents.
Night Awake (Full or Part Time): Are you a night owl? This is the job for you! Support youth through their evening routines, perform nightly safety checks, and assist youth with morning routines. Some past experience working with youth is helpful; training is provided.
Residential Youth Care Supervisor: In this role, you will provide overall leadership and guidance to the youth and assigned staff in your assigned dormitory or program. Responsibilities include: budget management, staff training and management, coordination of student outings and transportation, conducting crisis interventions, communicating to families and outside agencies as needed and ensuring dormitory operations and youth supervision practices are in accordance with HHS policies and procedures and all licensing agency requirements. Work schedule is primarily Monday-Friday with occasional weekend coverage. Past residential and supervisory experience is required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Youth Care Counselor (Full Time): Coordinate daily activities in assigned dormitory to maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment to foster individual development and to strengthen dormitory communities. Serve as a positive role model and actively supervise youth as you implement treatment plans and assist with daily activities. The Counselor collaborates with other HHS team members to contribute to overall youth case management activities. The full-time work schedule is a mix of 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm weekday shifts along with rotating weekends. Past residential youth care experience is required. College degree or current enrollment is preferred.
Youth Care Assistant Counselor (Full or Part Time): As directed by the Residential Counselor, you will work to maintain a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment to foster individual development and to strengthen dormitory communities. Serve as a positive role model and actively supervise youth as you implement treatment plans and assist with daily activities such as self, household chores, and cooking. Our Assistant Counselors work every weekend. Those interested in full time positions will also work additional weekday shifts (a mix of 7am-3pm and 3pm-11pm shifts). Some past experience working with youth is required; training provided.
