Job description
Harmony Hill School is looking for a full-time Secondary Education teacher (dually licensed in Special Needs is a plus) for high-school age youth.
Candidates should hold an active Rhode Island certification and be comfortable teaching a variety of subjects such as English, History, Science and Leadership and be adept at modifying grade level curriculum. The candidate should also be comfortable responding to students with challenging behaviors and implementing de-escalation techniques.
We are looking for a committed Teacher to complement our qualified workforce of educators. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing a full educational teaching plan according to the school’s requirements. It will be fundamental to provide knowledge and instruction to students while also helping them develop their personalities and skills. The ideal candidate will be passionate for the job with an ability to reach out to students and create a relationship of mutual trust. They will know how to organize a class and make learning an easy and meaningful process. The goal is to help cultivate the students’ interest in education and be their dedicated ally in the entire process of learning and development.

Job description
Harmony Hill School seeks professionals to work within our residential mental health program. Assistant Counselors and Counselors assist youth in the completion of a variety of functional activities; helping them to solve problems and make healthy choices.
Openings are available in our Intensive Stabilization, Assessment and Treatment (ISAT) units and in our non-ISAT units.
Available openings at the time of hire dictate the hourly starting rate and which position best fits your experience; Assistant or Counselor. Pay ranges from $20.50/hour-to-$26.00/hour (ISAT only).
All Youth Care Employees receive a $2,000.00 Sign-On Bonus .

Job description
The Night Awake Counselor (assistant) will be responsible for the safe management of the youth throughout the overnight. Staff are to stay awake and alert throughout the overnight at all times – no sleeping. Experience with 3rd shift work is helpful.
Incentives:
Essential Functions:
· Provide supervision of youth in the dormitory during the 11 PM - 7 AM shift.
· Communicate issues/concerns.
· Contact appropriate Supervisor/Coordinator/Nurse during emergencies/crisis.
· Follow all policies and procedures in regard to working with youth, i.e. reports, physical restraints, behavioral management techniques, etc.
· Attend any youth care meetings as requested.
· Attend all trainings as needed.
· Follow all established emergency procedures as documented in policy and procedure.
· Record data.
· Be prepared to help a youth through a difficult night. Help/comfort a youth who is awake or upset and experiencing a difficult time.
· Complete all necessary routine paperwork as required.

Qualifications:
· To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, demonstrating competency and understanding of all programs and policies for the safe care and management of our youth including crisis intervention and emergency procedures.
· Must be able to interact well with others in a team environment, understanding and following rules and directions from supervisor.
· Experience in mental health field and/or experience with youth with substance abuse desired.
· Must be able to accept constructive criticism and to contribute to a positive work environment.
· Must be able to work under stress and work without causing danger or disruption to others.
· Must be able to maintain satisfactory attendance and be punctual.
· Must be able to pass our physical intervention –Safety Care training.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
· All candidates must clear Rhode Island state as well as federal background checks.
· Must have a valid, non-suspended, non-expired driver license and good driving record.
· All training is available on site.
