Traditional residential treatment is no longer traditional. We continually evolve our residential programming to meet the needs of children, adolescents, and families of today and tomorrow.
Our Continuum of Care is based on the level of need for each individual to ensure the delivery of appropriate services and safety for all youth in our care. Each program is differentiated based upon the youth’s needs and their levels of care, which may include: staff to youth ratios, education models, the amount of clinical interventions, and the level of professional medical involvement.
A staff-secure and facility semi-secure five bed unit for youth whose long-term ability to function outside a psychiatric or juvenile justice facility is uncertain. This unit is either a step down from hospital setting or a diversion to psychiatric hospitalization. Expected length of stay is individual to client needs, in collaboration with family and/or caregiver and funder prior to admission.
The first unit (Blue Jays) is a staff-secure and facility semi-secure 13 bed unit for youth with moderate to severe mental health issues. This unit is designed for those youth who are in need of a higher level of care, and display chronic mental health issues.
Our second unit (Cardinals) is a staff-secure ten bed unit for youth up to the age of 18 suffering from acute emotional and behavioral reactions to trauma and/or mental health problems. Clients have had moderate to severe dysfunction in residential, group home or juvenile justice settings, creating significant safety concerns to self or others. Expected length of stay is individual to client needs.
